The borders between reality and virtual reality are getting blurred ever more. Ealier on Red Planet Dust I postulated:

The technology, which is necessary for Augmented Reality develops quickly.

It is not whether, but when Augmented Reality will become an everyday reality. The question is to what extent Augmented reality is going to affect our view of the world? Perhaps at some point in the near future we will have become so accustomed to these augmentations that we feel naked without it, then it has become REALITY itself.

alan-turingIn the same manner we see a blurring between Virtual Reality and Reality. The technical capabilities are improving towards a point that for humans it becomes indistinguishable if your looking at an life actor, or a digital creation.

Combine these rendering techniques to other advances in software and the Turing test can be positively passed even when seeing the computer at a screen right in front of you! (or in the future a hologram?)
